.BB2 File Extension

The bb2 file extension is associated with XBBS-OS/2, XGROUP, AV, ZTree applications for OS/2 operating system developed by IBM.

The bb2 file contains control data.

OS/2 operating system is obsolete product, replaced by similar project called eCom Station.

.BB2 file format is deprecated and this file format is no longer supported.

Also some proprietary or closed file formats cannot be converted to more common file types in order to protect the intellectual property of the developer, which is for example the case of some DRM-protected multimedia files.
